Focal is a French loudspeaker and headphone manufacturer founded in 1979 by Jacques Mahul in Saint-Etienne, France. The company originally operated under the name JMlab before rebranding to Focal-JMlab and eventually Focal. In 2011, Focal merged with British audio brand Naim Audio to form the Focal-Naim group, which was later acquired by the Vervent Audio Group.
