Louis XIII is a prestige cognac produced by the house of Remy Martin, headquartered in Cognac, France. The cognac takes its name from King Louis XIII of France, during whose reign the Remy Martin family first settled in the Cognac region. Louis XIII was first created in 1874, and each decanter contains a blend of up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from Grande Champagne, the premier cru appellation within the Cognac region.
