Sealy is an American mattress manufacturer founded in 1881 by Daniel Haynes in Sealy, Texas. Haynes, a cotton gin builder, began crafting cotton-filled mattresses for his neighbors, and the brand grew to become one of the most recognized names in the American bedding industry. Sealy is now part of Tempur Sealy International, the world's largest bedding company, following the merger with Tempur-Pedic in 2012.
