Wedgwood is a British ceramics manufacturer founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood in Burslem, Staffordshire. Josiah Wedgwood is often credited as the father of English potters, having developed innovations including jasperware, black basalt, and creamware (later called Queen's Ware after Queen Charlotte's patronage).
